3 Tools to Help You Get Started With Profiting From Your Travel Blog (Even Without an Independent Website)

I first started blogging because I was traveling a lot and I wanted to keep a personal journal for myself of where I had been and what I had learned.  Six month later, my photo blog on Instagram grew into something more and I knew it was time to monetize.

I remember when I first started out it seemed like there was an huge amount of information to consume but becoming a travel blogger doesn’t have to be overwhelming especially if you make sure you have the right types of tools to better assist you in being successful.  I put together this quick guide to my favorite tools to help you get started with profiting from your travel blog.  Hope you find these tools as helpful as I do.

Making Sure You Have a Place Your Products and Services

With or without a website, you will need a place where your potential clients can purchase your products and services.  I have three tools that I like to use for this purpose.

I use Acuity Scheduling tool to book my coaching sessions and live group courses.  It’s an easy way for others to book time on your calendar and pay you for the time booked seamlessly through one tool.  The booking tool can also be directly integrated with many social media websites; in other words, you don’t need to have an independent website to get started with being paid for consulting or coaching services.  It is also a great way to get group courses started!

I love DPD because makes digital publishing so easy!  DPD makes selling eBooks, software, music and other digital products more profitable because of their low prices (They charge no per-transaction fees and feature simple monthly pricing starting at $10/month!). Best of all, the first month of use of this service is free!  The provide you with store links so that you can plug them directly into your social media pages and have customizable plug-ins that allow you to integrate your digital publishing store directly into your website.

Zoom is my favorite video conferencing tool.  It is very easy to use and has tons of functions (such as screen share, local or cloud based recording, international call options, etc.) that are great for 1:1 meetings and video conference services.  It also integrates with acuity scheduling (i.e., the links will be sent out automatically to the booked client) to provide a seamless experience for the client.

While profiting from your travel blog is not super simple, these tools will certainly help you (as they have helped me) set up systems to make the process easier (even without a formal website for your blog). If you are interested in taking the profitability of your travel blog to the next level, you should schedule a influencer income mini strategy session.   You can schedule a session here.
